Memorials

Memorials are usually held either as an alternative to a funeral in cases where the deceased has donated their body for scientific research, or because a family wishes to hold a service of remembrance for a loved one who has died some time ago. A memorial ceremony can be held in a place of worship, in a private home or in a hired venue.

A memorial is a perfect occasion to hear spoken tributes about the departed, to speak about their life and character and celebrate their qualities or achievements. Music, poetry, photographs, video or a slideshow can all add to the celebration. My job is to help you bring together all the facets, write any tributes or other elements that you require and, on the day, act as Master of Ceremonies. My fee for bringing together and conducting a memorial is dependent on the nature of the event, and starts at £220.
