Many thanks for your beautiful eulogy. You captured the details of G’s life perfectly and conveyed everything the family wanted to say. Thanks again,

From DK & family

On behalf of our family, we just wanted to say how sincerely thankful we are for your assistance in arranging and delivering Dad’s eulogy and for helping us through such a difficult time. It’s very much appreciated by us all and we would have found it very hard to do ourselves, without your guidance.

He has now completed his final journey and although we will all miss him very much forever, we can now begin to come to terms with our loss, although we know this will still take time.

When my partner Maya passed away so suddenly, it was such a shock to our families. We knew Maya would have wanted a Buddhist Ceremony but also for it to be personal. We were so anxious that everything was as she would have wanted herself. Dassini’s advice and empathy throughout was invaluable in helping us decide on the proceedings. From the beginning, Dassini worked closely with the Funeral Directors to make sure everything ran smoothly, and kept in touch with us throughout.

Dassini was so supportive, listening to our memories of Maya, being sensitive to our families’ perspectives and above all helping us to finally conceive of a ceremony we believe Maya would have wished for herself.

Dassini visited our home many times to make sure Maya’s tribute was personal – capturing her essence and humour, choosing the songs to be played, even incorporating my partner’s well known and unique gesture of saying thank you, which was especially touching. Photos of my partner with family and friends also helped Dassini get an idea of Maya for her eulogy. Dassini also made up a photobook from a selection of these photos which was also so touching and thoughtful.

I can’t thank you enough Dassini!

Dassini took all the strain out of my Dad’s funeral planning and made it a fantastic celebration of his life, encouraging us in all our choices for the day – putting in lots of time, answering lots of e-mails from us and communicating with the Funeral Director. She knows all the protocol – was able to guide us through what to expect, and how to incorporate our ideas into that. After an intitial phone chat we e-mailed her a very rough guide to my Dad’s life, then we had a chat with her at our home…she drew out our ideas gently – and then composed a eulogy for our approval (we opted to have her deliver that on the day- but could have done otherwise if we wanted) which was an evocative piece, giving a true picture of his character and life – with feeling, humour and welcome frankness about the different stages of his life. It felt good. We agreed on poems, music and atmospheric sound – it all seemed to come together almost effortlessly – which I attribute entirely to her confidence, compassion, patience, creativity and of course her speaking skills – which made for a deeply satisfying experience at this hugely important event.
She also produced the Order of Service pamphlet for printing costs only – another problem solved – and it looked great.
Dassini was a real support on the day too – knew exactly what to do and made it all flow beautifully.
